XiamenAir launches direct route to London

Chinese airline XiamenAir has launched direct flight services connecting Xiamen and London. The inaugural flight, MF821, landed at Heathrow Airport on September 6, marking the start of round-trip service between the two cities. The flight duration is approximately 12 hours.
The new route establishes a direct air link between Xiamen, the capital of China's Fujian province, and the UK capital. XiamenAir will operate the service using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
This intercontinental route is expected to enhance travel convenience for both business and leisure passengers between Asia and Europe. The airline anticipates a significant increase in passenger numbers on this new long-haul service.
Flights will operate on a weekly basis. XiamenAir is one of China's major airlines and is a member of the SkyTeam alliance.
