Xiaohongshu Donates 10 Million Yuan for Disaster Relief
Social media platform Xiaohongshu has donated 10 million yuan through the China Foundation for Rural Development to support survivors in areas affected by floods and other natural disasters in Guangxi and Hubei provinces.

Social media platform Xiaohongshu has announced a donation of 10 million yuan (approximately $1.4 million USD) to disaster relief efforts. The contribution, channeled through the China Foundation for Rural Development, is designated for emergency rescue, transitional housing, and post-disaster reconstruction in regions impacted by recent natural calamities, including floods and storms.
Typhoon "Mayisak" and other severe weather events have recently caused significant damage across Guangxi and Hubei provinces, resulting in widespread flooding, damaged infrastructure, and the emergency evacuation of numerous residents. Xiaohongshu has responded to the crisis by coordinating with emergency management departments.
The platform has also launched special feature pages on its site for events such as the "Focus on Guangxi Floods," facilitating information sharing and aid coordination. In line with its community ethos, Xiaohongshu users have self-organized into groups like the "Guangxi Flood Mutual Aid Circle" to provide mutual support.
This donation and community mobilization underscore the company's commitment to assisting disaster-affected populations. Xiaohongshu stated it will continue to monitor the situation and support efforts to help affected communities return to normal life.
