Chinese technology firm Xiaomi is set to officially upgrade the battery capacity of its Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone. The upcoming update will increase the device's battery to 5140mAh (rated 5000mAh), representing a 260mAh increase over its current specification.
The information was revealed by tech blogger @体验more. Xiaomi has previously stated that a standard battery replacement involves installing a new battery of the same specifications. An "upgrade" refers to the process of installing a higher-capacity battery on top of the original specifications.
This follows similar battery capacity enhancements already implemented for other Xiaomi models. The Xiaomi 13 received an upgrade from 4500mAh to 4850mAh, the Xiaomi 13 Pro from 4820mAh to 5361mAh, and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra from 5000mAh to 5500mAh.
The company had previously indicated that support for the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro models was anticipated by the fourth quarter of 2026. Official announcements will provide specific details and confirmation of the timeline for these battery upgrades.
