Xiaomi 18 Fold Features Leica Triple Camera System
Xiaomi has officially announced its new 18 Fold foldable smartphone, which will be equipped with a professional triple-camera system co-developed with Leica. The device emphasizes advanced photography and performance.
Chinese technology company Xiaomi has confirmed the specifications for its upcoming 18 Fold foldable smartphone, highlighting a significant camera upgrade through a partnership with Leica. The new device will feature a professional-grade triple-camera setup.
The 18 Fold's camera array includes a 200-megapixel main sensor for high-detail images, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. These lenses, branded as Leica optical Summilux, are designed to deliver clear and transparent image quality.
Beyond its camera capabilities, the 18 Fold boasts a distinct design with narrow borders and rounded corners, aiming for an elegant aesthetic. The rear camera module features a "racetrack"-inspired layout with the Leica logo directly integrated. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the new O3 AI flagship SoC, which reportedly scores over 5.22 million points in AnTuTu benchmarks.
The foldable smartphone will also incorporate LPDDR6 memory and a substantial 6000mAh battery supporting 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. Both internal and external displays will utilize a near-square aspect ratio of approximately √2:1, protected by Xiaomi Longjing Glass 3.0. The 18 Fold will launch with the new HyperOS 4 operating system and be available in a new "Xiye Red" color option.
