New details have emerged regarding the initial sales performance of the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable phone in China. The tech blog @RD观测 has published estimates suggesting that approximately 39,700 units were sold between September 7th and September 13th.
The model was officially launched on September 7th, with sales commencing on September 10th. The Xiaomi 18 Fold starts at a price of 10,999 yuan (approximately $1,500 USD). A notable color option for the device is 'Xiyue Red'.
The device features a 5.38-inch external display and a 7.58-inch internal display, both with an approximate 2:1 aspect ratio and supporting a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate via LTPO technology. It is powered by the new Xiaomi AI chip, featuring a ten-core CPU and a 16-core GPU. The phone also includes a 6000mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless charging.
This release highlights the growing interest in foldable screen technology within the smartphone market, though its premium pricing positions it in the high-end segment.
