Xiaomi 18 Pro Phone's "Legendary Moment" Feature Detailed
Xiaomi's 18 Pro series smartphones have launched, featuring a "Legendary Moment" image processing capability powered by AI. Original photo data can be uploaded to the cloud for lossless processing.
Xiaomi officially launched its 18 Pro series smartphones on September 23. A key feature highlighted is "Legendary Moment" (Chuanqi Yishun), an image processing capability that utilizes a large-model AI trained on millions of photographs. This AI approach aims to deliver professional-grade image quality.
The "Legendary Moment" function also provides camera-level bokeh simulation, recreating optical depth-of-field effects through AI algorithms. Xiaomi states that original photo data can be uploaded to the cloud for lossless processing, allowing for automatic optimization across various scenarios based on extensive training data.
The new Xiaomi 18 Pro models are equipped with the Sixth Generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform and feature a dual 200-megapixel camera system, including a primary sensor and a telephoto lens. This builds on Xiaomi's collaboration with Leica, which introduced modes like "Leica Moment" on previous devices to emulate classic Leica camera looks.
The telephoto lens offers a 75mm focal length with 3.2x optical zoom and up to 12.8x lossless zoom. It also supports macro photography at a 12cm distance. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series starts at 5999 yuan.
