Xiaomi 18 Pro Series to Feature 'Super Pixel Screen 2.0' with Privacy

Xiaomi has unveiled a new display technology for its forthcoming 18 Pro smartphone series. Dubbed 'Super Pixel Screen 2.0', the display promises enhanced visual quality and integrated hardware-level privacy protection, designed to prevent onlookers from viewing the screen.

The technology utilizes an M11 luminescence system, a new green luminous material, and a full RGB pixel arrangement. Xiaomi describes the solution as a forward-looking display standard, offering superior brightness, power efficiency, and an improved user experience concerning privacy.

Information suggests the display feature, named 'Smart privacy display', can be activated automatically in sensitive situations. These include password entry, payment processing, and fund transfers, where the screen's content is restricted to direct viewing angles.

Users will also have the ability to configure settings, creating app groups for which the privacy display will activate. This allows for customized privacy protection tailored to specific usage scenarios, such as reading messages or accessing financial applications.
