Xiaomi develops new Redmi flagship featuring 2nm chipset
Xiaomi is reportedly testing a new Redmi smartphone model integrated with 2nm processor technology and a 50MP periscope camera system.
Reports from the mobile industry indicate that Xiaomi is currently testing a new flagship smartphone under its Redmi brand. The device is expected to leverage 2nm process technology, marking a shift toward more advanced power efficiency and computational capabilities in the sub-brand's portfolio.
The hardware configuration reportedly features a 50MP, 1/1.95-inch sensor dedicated to the periscope lens, which supports 3x optical zoom. Further development data suggests the inclusion of a 7-inch display and a high-capacity battery, aligning with trends toward larger, long-endurance smartphone hardware.
While official specifications remain undisclosed, the device is projected to appear on the market by the first half of 2027. This development follows the August release of the current Redmi K100 series.
