Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Expands Compatibility with Apple Ecosystem
Xiaomi has announced that its HyperOS 4 operating system now fully supports Apple's ecosystem. The new feature enables bidirectional synchronization of data, including photos and notifications, between Apple and Xiaomi devices.
Chinese technology news outlet IT Home reports that Xiaomi's new HyperOS 4 operating system now offers comprehensive compatibility with Apple's ecosystem. This significant update allows for the sharing of files, photos, contacts, and browsing history directly between Apple and Xiaomi devices.
HyperOS 4 enables users to view their cloud photo albums bidirectionally between iPhones and Xiaomi phones. Important notifications are also synchronized across devices, allowing for message replies without switching phones. The "My Share" desktop feature now supports Apple devices, providing users with the ability to continue their work seamlessly across different devices.
The technology enabling this is partly based on Google's Quick Share solution, which has previously facilitated file transfers between Android and Apple devices. While Xiaomi is the latest major manufacturer to integrate this functionality, many others, such as Samsung and Google Pixel, have already added similar support.
The launch of HyperOS 4 is part of Xiaomi's broader strategy to enhance seamless cross-device user experience. The company has previously collaborated with Apple, for instance, by releasing the "Mi Connect" app for Apple Watch, which allows for synchronization of notifications and health data.
