Xiaomi introduces WorldCast 3D image processing to Redmi K100

Xiaomi has deployed its WorldCast AI framework on the Redmi K100 smartphone, enabling users to transform static photos into 3D video sequences.

4 November 2026

Xiaomi has integrated its new WorldCast technology into the Redmi K100 smartphone, released in late October. The feature utilizes a visual generation framework to analyze the depth structure of a static photo and reconstruct it as a 3D environment, simulating realistic camera movements such as orbiting and zooming.

The system maintains consistency in the subject’s facial features, hair, and clothing during the simulated camera trajectory. This process relies on geometry-guided tracking and multi-view character memory, which ensures the integrity of the subject even as the perspective shifts significantly.

Xiaomi described this release as part of its ongoing research into controllable visual generation. By standardizing the methods and datasets used for WorldCast, the company aims to establish a foundation for further advancements, including extended video generation and 4D synthesis.
