Xiaomi launches crowdfunding for 3 kg Mijia shoe washer

Xiaomi has expanded its home appliance ecosystem with the introduction of the Mijia 3 kg shoe washer. The product launched via a crowdfunding campaign on the Xiaomi Youpin platform on November 2, with the initial phase scheduled to run through November 9.

Designed for residential use, the appliance employs a high-speed pulsator to generate a 3D water current. Combined with a matrix of brushes located at the base and sides of the drum, the system is designed to clean both shoe uppers and tread patterns. The machine can accommodate between two and four pairs of shoes in a single cycle.

Technical specifications include eight distinct wash programs, such as a 20-minute rapid wash cycle and a self-cleaning drum feature to mitigate mud and debris buildup. The manufacturer states that the machine includes anti-bacterial protocols designed to remove up to 99.9% of common bacteria, including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

The device is priced at 799 yuan for the duration of the crowdfunding event.
