Xiaomi Launches First NAS Product, Xiaomi Smart Storage
Xiaomi has commenced pre-orders for its first NAS product, Xiaomi Smart Storage. The device is available in multiple storage capacities and integrates home network storage with smart home features.

Chinese technology firm IT Home reports that Xiaomi has begun accepting pre-orders for its first Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, branded as Xiaomi Smart Storage. The product is offered in 4 TB, 8 TB, and 16 TB configurations, with prices starting at 2,699 yuan (approximately $370 USD) for the base model.
The Xiaomi Smart Storage features a dual-drive bay design, supporting up to 60 TB of storage when equipped with two 30 TB drives. It is compatible with both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch personal hard drives and includes features like dynamic and dual backup modes. Connectivity options include a 2.5GbE network port, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI 1.4 output.
The device is powered by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Integration with Xiaomi's smart home ecosystem is highlighted, offering potential functionalities such as storing footage from up to four surveillance cameras and backing up data from Xiaomi HyperOS devices. The NAS is designed to support up to 16 user accounts.
Xiaomi emphasizes the device's AI capabilities, including automatic photo and video categorization and intelligent search functions. It also provides remote access via a dedicated app, allowing users to access their data from smartphones, computers, and televisions. The NAS can act as a media hub, automatically identifying and organizing movie and TV show collections with generated posters.
