Xiaomi Launches Magnetic Bluetooth Speaker That Doubles as Phone Stand
Xiaomi has released a new magnetic Bluetooth speaker compatible with MagSafe. The device also functions as a stand for mobile phones.
Chinese technology firm Xiaomi has introduced a new magnetic Bluetooth speaker designed to work with Apple's MagSafe ecosystem. The speaker, weighing approximately 95 grams, is now available on the Xiaomi Youpin platform for 199 yuan, with an initial launch price of 132 yuan.
The device features a magnetic ring on its base, allowing it to attach to surfaces like the back of a smartphone. This capability transforms the speaker into a functional phone stand. An integrated Hall sensor enables automatic power-on when the speaker is magnetically attached.
The magnetic Bluetooth speaker is equipped with a 1.5-inch, 3W full-range driver. Its exterior is covered in a fine woven fabric, and it includes an RGB light strip around the base. Users can pair two speakers for stereo sound, and up to 10 units can be linked together for synchronized audio playback. The speaker also boasts an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and it has a 650mAh battery capacity.
Beyond its magnetic attachment and auto-on features, the speaker offers versatile audio capabilities. It supports stereo pairing and daisy-chaining multiple units. Its high protection rating makes it suitable for various environments.
