Xiaomi Launches Mi Home Washing Machine Pro with "Super Electrolytic" Technology

Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has launched its Mi Home Washing Machine Pro, incorporating the company's proprietary "super electrolytic" technology. This new feature aims to improve stain removal, fabric care, and hygiene through an advanced cleaning process.

The "super electrolytic" technology is described as a process using highly concentrated active oxygen, 15 times higher than normal, generated through instant electrolysis of water. This active oxygen penetrates deep into fabric fibers to effectively lift dirt and sanitize, eliminating the need for additives and avoiding residues. Xiaomi claims the technology can remove 20 types of stubborn stains, including sauces and fruit juices, and restore the whiteness of yellowed garments.

The washing machine offers several specialized wash cycles, including an enhanced pre-mix quick wash program that significantly reduces washing time, as well as a 12-minute quick wash for lightly soiled items. It also includes features like down wash, wool care, and pet hair removal cycles. A combination of steam sterilization and "super electrolytic cold water" disinfection promises 99.999% effectiveness against bacteria and viruses, and 100% against mites.

A smart dual-route automatic detergent and softener dispenser system precisely doses the correct amount based on the laundry's weight and soil level. This system can reportedly cover a month's usage on a single refill, reducing chemical residue. The system can also be configured to use disinfectant instead of softener via the Mi Home app.

The machine boasts a 10kg washing capacity and features a "wash cleaning ratio" that exceeds national standards. Xiaomi also highlights its smart capabilities, including remote control and program updates through the Mi Home platform. The initial price is set at 2,699 yuan, with a post-subsidy offering of 2,294 yuan.
