Chinese technology firm Xiaomi has begun pre-sales for its new Mi Home smart countertop tea bar. Priced at 599 yuan (approximately $82 USD), the device offers a range of features for brewing tea and dispensing water.

The new model features a "dual-zone, dual-outlet" design. The left outlet provides instant hot water, while the right is for brewing tea. Xiaomi states the device uses ceramic heating technology to heat water in three seconds without preheating, ensuring fresh, non-stagnant water.

The tea bar has a 5.5-liter water tank and offers five temperature presets and four cup volume options. Users can adjust the temperature precisely between 45-95°C (113-203°F) in 1°C increments. The device also features automatic memory for temperature and volume settings.

It includes a "quick boil" function that heats water to 90°C in approximately 15 seconds for brewing. The device comes with preset tea programs and can be controlled via the Mi Home app, where users can add custom tea recipes and monitor status. It also supports voice control through Xiaomi's Xiao Ai assistant and features a 2.8-inch color display. The dual water paths are physically separated to prevent flavor contamination. The device aims to provide both instant hot water and a dedicated tea brewing experience.
