Xiaomi has reduced the price of its Mi Body Composition Scale S400 in China, making the smart scale available for approximately 77.8 yuan (about $10.80 USD) through JD.com. The scale was initially launched at 99 yuan.
The Mi Body Composition Scale S400 is designed to provide a comprehensive analysis of body composition. According to the company, the scale measures 25 different metrics, including body fat percentage, muscle mass, body water, and bone mineral content. It utilizes dual-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis for enhanced accuracy.
Xiaomi claims that the data provided by the scale correlates highly with DEXA scans, a recognized standard for body composition assessment. This feature aims to help users identify hidden obesity and manage their physique and health more effectively.
Additionally, the Mi Body Composition Scale S400 can measure static heart rate, indicating whether the rate is too slow, normal, or too fast. This provides users with further insights into their cardiovascular health.
