Xiaomi has initiated a crowdfunding campaign for its new MiJia S101 electric shaver featuring a "cloud pattern blade net" on its MiYoupin e-commerce platform. The special edition is offered at a crowdfunding price of 105 yuan (approximately $14 USD), down from its suggested retail price of 149 yuan.

The new model comes in two color options: "twilight blue" and "sandstone gray." The shaver's blade net utilizes MIM (Metal Injection Molding) technology and features a dual-ring design, which the company claims enhances beard capture and cutting efficiency. The inward-curving stainless steel blades are designed to encircle and cut beard hairs immediately upon contact with the net, aiming to reduce missed hairs and irritation. They are also stated to effectively shave stubble close to the skin.

The MiJia S101 electric shaver incorporates a 3-blade shaving head with independent floating capabilities, adapting to facial contours in six directions for a closer shave. It boasts an IPX7 waterproof rating, allowing for use and cleaning under running water, with a detachable blade head. The device is also reported to feature intelligent speed control that recognizes shaving pressure, maintaining consistent power to prevent beard pulling.

Charging is handled via a USB-C port, with a full charge taking approximately 1.5 hours. Xiaomi claims a single charge provides up to 60 days of use with daily shaving of one minute. This launch further expands Xiaomi's consumer electronics and smart home product ecosystem, known for offering competitive technology in the Chinese market and beyond.
