Chinese technology firm Xiaomi has significantly reduced the price of its MIX Flip 2 foldable smartphone. The device is now available starting at 2719.15 yuan, representing its lowest price point for the year. This price includes a subsidy from the Chinese government.
The MIX Flip 2, originally launched in June of the previous year, features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It is equipped with a 5165mAh battery incorporating silicon-based technology. The external display measures 4.01 inches with a peak brightness of 3200 nits.
In terms of camera specifications, the device boasts a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera, both developed in collaboration with Leica. Different storage configurations are offered at varied price points: the 12GB+256GB model is priced at 2719.15 yuan, the 12GB+512GB model at 4449 yuan, and the 16GB+1TB model at 5749 yuan.
The price adjustments coincide with the upcoming Singles' Day (November 11th) shopping festival, a major online retail event in China. Xiaomi operates in a competitive smartphone market against numerous domestic and international manufacturers, with price wars intensifying for premium device segments.
