Xiaomi NAS Smart Storage Available at Discounted Price
Xiaomi has launched its first NAS device, the Xiaomi Smart Storage. The product is now available at a discounted price in the Chinese market, offering various storage capacity options.
Chinese technology company Xiaomi has released its first Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, named Xiaomi Smart Storage. The device has been available in China since August 27. The 4TB version is currently priced at 2384 yuan (approximately $325 USD), down from its original price of 2699 yuan.
Larger storage configurations are also offered at reduced prices. The 8TB model is available for 3194 yuan (previously 3499 yuan), and the 16TB model for 5084 yuan (previously 5499 yuan). Xiaomi provides a standard three-year warranty, with an additional year of extended warranty and a five-year data recovery service.
The Xiaomi Smart Storage features a dual-bay design supporting up to 60TB of total capacity (2x 30TB). It accommodates 3.5/2.5-inch drives and offers dynamic backup and dual-backup functionalities. Connectivity includes a 2.5GbE Ethernet port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a USB-A 3.0 port.
Key features include an AI-powered smart photo album for automatic categorization and search. It supports integration with Xiaomi devices, such as storage for up to four surveillance cameras and backups for the HyperOS system. The device can manage up to 16 user accounts and provides free remote access with up to 40Mbps bandwidth.
Additionally, the storage solution supports intelligent film organization and remote downloading. It can identify movie files, match metadata, and automatically generate movie posters. The built-in media player supports various formats, 4K HDR10 playback, external subtitles, and wireless screen casting.
