Xiaomi Opens First Mijia Smart Home Experience Store in Henan
Xiaomi has opened its first Mijia smart home appliance experience store in Henan province, marking a new retail concept for the company. The store aims to allow customers to experience the full range of Xiaomi's smart home solutions and Mijia products in one location.
Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has opened the first Mijia smart home appliance experience store in Henan province, located at Zhonglu Square in Zhengzhou. This new store represents a strategic exploration of Xiaomi's retail model, focusing on a specialized product category within its existing Xiaomi Store network.
The store allows customers to experience Xiaomi's entire range of smart home solutions and Mijia-branded products firsthand. Lu Weibing, Xiaomi's partner and president, described the initiative as a "model exploration" to expand the product categories offered in stores and provide a more immersive customer journey into the smart home ecosystem.
Mijia, launched in 2016, is Xiaomi's ecosystem brand for smart home devices. The company operates a vast network of Xiaomi Stores globally, with over 10,000 locations reported by late 2023. This new experience-focused store format is designed to enhance customer engagement with its smart home offerings.
Xiaomi plans to replicate this Mijia experience store concept in additional cities across China. The expansion is part of the company's ongoing efforts to solidify its position in the smart home market and leverage its AIoT platform to connect various devices for consumers.
