Xiaomi opens recruitment for澎湃 OS 4 Beta on select devices
Xiaomi has begun recruiting users for its 澎湃 OS 4 Beta software. The first wave of eligible devices includes models from the Xiaomi 17 and REDMI K90 series, along with Xiaomi Pad 8 tablets.
Chinese technology firm Xiaomi has initiated user recruitment for the beta version of its 澎湃 OS 4 operating system. The initial phase targets specific smartphone and tablet models, allowing eligible users to apply for internal testing through the Xiaomi Community platform.
The selected devices for this first recruitment phase include the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17, REDMI K90 Pro Max, REDMI K90 Pro Max Champion Edition, REDMI K90, Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 8.
Xiaomi has outlined a two-batch recruitment process for the beta program. Once the first batch is filled, recruitment for the second batch will commence. Participants in the first batch are expected to receive the update shortly after the application period closes, with the second batch anticipated to receive it within approximately 10 days.
The company advises users that any initial increase in battery consumption or device heat after the update is a normal part of the system's background optimization process and typically resolves within 1-3 days. Users encountering issues are encouraged to submit bug reports with logs and reproduction steps via the 'Service & Feedback' app or the Xiaomi Community's beta section.
