Xiaomi has introduced its new Poco M8x 5G smartphone in India. The device targets the mid-range market segment and is equipped with a 7900mAh battery and a 6.9-inch LCD display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset.

The phone's display offers HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 825 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Internally, the device utilizes LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The smartphone features a 50-megapixel main rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi has committed to providing four years of system updates and six years of security updates for the M8x 5G. It runs on the HyperOS 3 user interface, based on Android 16.

The M8x 5G includes a substantial 7900mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The device measures 8.8mm in thickness and weighs 232 grams. Additional features include an IP64 dust and water resistance rating, an infrared remote control, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The base configuration, priced at 18,999 Indian Rupees (approximately 1,336 EUR), includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 6GB RAM variant is also available for 22,999 Indian Rupees.
