Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Series Confirmed for Early HyperOS 4 Official Update

Xiaomi has confirmed that its Redmi K100 Pro smartphone series will be among the first devices to receive the official HyperOS 4 operating system. The announcement was made by the REDMI product manager and clarifies the update timeline for users.

The product manager also elaborated on the purpose of beta versions, stating their primary goal is to gather user feedback from real-world scenarios. This feedback is crucial for identifying and addressing issues that might have been missed during internal testing. For beta programs to be effective, they require a substantial user base, stable product status, and users familiar enough with the system to provide meaningful comparisons between versions.

Regarding the Redmi K100 Pro series, the timing of this major update is considered carefully. As these new models have recently launched, they are naturally receiving a concentrated amount of user feedback. The initial month requires significant resources to ensure a stable user experience. Introducing a major OS update concurrently could complicate the process of identifying and resolving bugs, hindering the efficient exploration phase of a beta release.

Following Xiaomi's previously released schedule, the first wave of HyperOS 4 beta updates has already commenced. This initial rollout includes select models from the Xiaomi 17 and Redmi K90 series, along with Xiaomi Pad 8 tablets. Subsequent rollout phases are scheduled for late August and mid-September, encompassing a broader range of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones and tablets, including the MIX Flip 2 and Redmi K80 series.
