Xiaomi releases fix for software bug in Xiaomi 17 Ultra camera interface
Xiaomi has addressed a display bug affecting the 'Leica Moment' camera feature on the 17 Ultra following a recent system update.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra users recently reported a display error within the device's camera interface following the rollout of the HyperOS 4.0.6.0.XPACNXM.D01 update. The issue caused garbled characters to appear on the screen when accessing the "Leica Moment" feature, a specialized photography mode developed in collaboration with Leica.
In response to user feedback, a product manager from Xiaomi's camera division confirmed that the issue has been resolved. Users are required to update their camera application through the official app store to apply the fix.
The "Leica Moment" mode was introduced as part of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch in December 2025. It provides users with distinct shooting styles based on historical Leica equipment, such as the M9’s color science and M3 film aesthetics, involving specialized processing pipelines rather than simple filters.
