Xiaomi Releases Mijia Night Light 4 with Radar Sensor and Long Battery Life

Xiaomi has introduced its latest home accessory, the Mijia Night Light 4, now available for purchase in China. This updated night light incorporates a 24GHz radar sensor, significantly improving motion detection accuracy and responsiveness. The lamp is designed to provide a comfortable, soft illumination that does not cause glare in dark environments, making it suitable for use in bedrooms, nurseries, or hallways.

The Mijia Night Light 4 boasts several upgrades, including its advanced sensor technology. It offers a wide detection range with a 120° field of view, capable of sensing motion up to 3 meters in front and 2.5 meters to the side. The light activates instantly upon detecting movement and automatically switches off 10 seconds after the motion ceases. Users can select from four brightness levels, ranging from 1 to 15 lumens, and choose between continuous on or motion-sensing modes.

Powering the device is an internal 800 mAh rechargeable battery, optimized by a low-power consumption algorithm. This allows for extended use, with the battery lasting up to 8 months on the lowest brightness setting and 3 months on the highest setting in motion-sensing mode. The lamp supports charging via a USB-C port.

Installation is designed for flexibility, supporting magnetic attachment, adhesive mounting, and hanging. The lamp magnetically attaches to a base plate, which can be affixed to surfaces using the included adhesive. A new hanging piece allows the lamp to be suspended from hooks in places like bathrooms or closets, adapting to various household needs.
