Xiaomi Releases New Security Camera with Full-Color Night Vision

Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Smart Camera 5 Pro, now available through retailer JD.com. This new security camera enhances home monitoring with advanced features, including full-color night vision and a dual-lens setup.

The camera is equipped with an 8MP and a 4MP lens, capable of capturing 4K high-definition footage. It features a built-in supplemental light that enables full-color imaging throughout the night. The device automatically activates this light and switches to color recording upon detecting human or pet movement, reverting to black-and-white when inactive. It also includes a 940nm infrared fill light for clear black-and-white night vision without visible red glare.

With pan and tilt functionality, the camera supports remote rotation in all directions for comprehensive coverage. It offers human and pet tracking, automatically following detected subjects. The device supports gesture recognition for initiating calls, allowing users to start video calls with their mobile devices simply by making an 'OK' gesture, or by initiating a call from the mobile app for two-way audio communication.

Powered by a 1.5T high-computing-power chip, the Mi Smart Camera 5 Pro ensures more accurate and intelligent scene detection. It offers local AI detection functions, providing instant alerts for significant events and allowing users to review recorded incidents.
