Xiaomi has launched its Smart Solar Camera 4 Pro 4G Dual-lens Edition, a surveillance camera that operates on solar power and 4G connectivity. The device is designed for outdoor use and remote monitoring.
Chinese technology company Xiaomi has released its new solar-powered surveillance camera, the Xiaomi Smart Solar Camera 4 Pro 4G Dual-lens Edition. The camera is available through e-commerce channels for 649 yuan. A key feature of the camera is its ability to operate without traditional network or Wi-Fi connections, utilizing a 4G connection and an integrated solar panel.
The camera is specifically designed for outdoor scenarios where installing network cables or providing a power source is challenging. The unit includes dual SIM card slots for automatic network switching to ensure stable connectivity and offers free data usage. Power is supplied by a large 9900 mAh battery, supplemented by a 7.6W solar panel, allowing for over a week of operation on a full charge.
The Xiaomi Smart Solar Camera 4 Pro 4G Dual-lens Edition features two 500-megapixel cameras capable of providing 3K resolution images. It also includes night vision capabilities, with infrared and white light arrays that automatically activate when motion is detected in low-light conditions. The camera's housing is IP66 rated for dust and water resistance.
Additionally, the camera supports intelligent recording that optimizes frame rates to conserve storage space, potentially saving over 90%. It also offers two-way audio communication and alerts users via the Mi Home app for any detected anomalies. Storage can be managed through a microSD card.
