Xiaomi Releases New Vehicle-Mounted Public Network Intercom
Xiaomi has launched a new vehicle-mounted intercom device that utilizes public network communication and includes one year of free data traffic. The product is now available for purchase.

Chinese tech news outlet IT Home reports that Xiaomi has introduced a new public network intercom designed for in-car use. This device operates over cellular networks, allowing for communication across distances wherever there is network coverage.
The intercom comes with one year of free data included. It features a magnetic mount compatible with the vehicle's rearview mirror, allowing for secure attachment and easy removal. The company states the mount is designed for Xiaomi vehicles but can also be used with other car models featuring a 1/4-inch screw hole under the rearview mirror.
Key functionalities include real-time teammate location sharing, which can be integrated with Xiaomi's vehicle infotainment systems or a dedicated mobile app. This feature is initially supported on Xiaomi Pengcheng series vehicles, with broader compatibility planned via over-the-air (OTA) updates. The device also boasts enhanced audio capabilities, including a sealed speaker cavity and a dual-microphone array with noise cancellation for clear communication in noisy environments.
Powered by an internal, temperature-resistant nickel-metal hydride battery, the intercom offers up to 10 hours of continuous use. It charges via a standard Type-C USB port. The device is priced at 499 yuan during its introductory sales period, with a regular price of 599 yuan.
