Xiaomi Releases Redmi K100 Pro Series Phones
Xiaomi has launched its new Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max smartphones in China. The lineup features high-end specifications, including a substantial battery and powerful processor, with prices starting from 3199 yuan with government subsidies.
Chinese technology company Xiaomi has unveiled its new Redmi K100 Pro series smartphones. The new models, Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max, bring several updated features to the market, including a more powerful processor and a larger battery capacity.
Pricing for the Redmi K100 Pro starts at 3199 yuan (approximately $430 USD) with government subsidies for the 12+256GB version. The higher-end Pro Max model's 12+256GB variant is available from 3699 yuan (approximately $475 USD) with subsidies. The top configuration, a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage Redmi K100 Pro Max, is priced at 5499 yuan (approximately $705 USD) with subsidies, offered in a limited quantity.
The Redmi K100 Pro series is powered by the new fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chip, paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. The devices feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate, capable of reaching peak brightness levels up to 10,000 nits. The Pro model is equipped with an 8580mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The camera system includes a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The phones boast IP66/IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance and support Wi-Fi 7. Xiaomi also highlighted the government's electronic consumption subsidy program, which contributes to the reduced retail prices.
