Xiaomi reports progress on humanoid robot at automotive factory
Xiaomi has revealed new progress on its humanoid robot deployed in an automotive factory. The robot's success rate in a specific task has significantly increased.

Xiaomi has disclosed recent advancements with its humanoid robot operating within an automotive manufacturing facility. Following a four-month development period, the robot's success rate in loading self-tapping nuts has risen from 90.2% to 98%.
According to the company, this improvement narrows the performance gap to human workers to just one percentage point. This development signifies a notable step forward for robotics in the automotive sector.
The company has also introduced two additional tasks: sorting center console side panels and folding/recycling parts bins. Both of these new operations have achieved success rates of 90%.
Notably, the center console side panel sorting station represents the first instance of a humanoid robot performing continuous, long-duration tasks on flexible components within an automotive factory setting. This demonstrates the robot's adaptability to more intricate production demands.
