Xiaomi has unveiled interior features for its upcoming SkyNomad SUV, highlighting its "variable large space" concept. The vehicle's first-row seats can rotate, creating a lounge-like atmosphere.
Chinese technology firm Xiaomi has released further details on its forthcoming SkyNomad SUV, focusing on the interior's versatility and adaptability. The company has shared images and information illustrating how the vehicle's cabin can be reconfigured for various uses.
A key feature of the new model is its "variable large space," which the company suggests allows the SUV to offer an "MPV-like" experience. The first-row seats are designed to rotate, enabling occupants to face each other and create a social area within the cabin. The vehicle will also include dedicated tables that can be quickly installed or stored, allowing the space to be transformed into a mobile office or a cafe-style setting.
Xiaomi's founder and CEO, Lei Jun, has also engaged with the public regarding the car's features. According to information from Jun, the car offers a spacious seven-seat configuration while still retaining significant luggage capacity. A large screen is integrated near the second row of seats, enhancing passenger comfort and entertainment options.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has demonstrated the car's ability to function as a "bar" area, with a sliding center console and attachable table components. The interior is reported to accommodate up to seven suitcases even with all seats in use, emphasizing efficient space utilization, though specific luggage dimensions were not provided.
The Xiaomi SkyNomad SUV is anticipated to be a significant product release for the company. Xiaomi has reportedly spent three and a half years developing the vehicle with the aim of creating a "living space" that caters to diverse needs.
