Xiaomi is reportedly exploring the development of a novel accessory, internally referred to as "Pocket Guitar," designed to leverage the rear screen of its upcoming flagship phones. Developer Kacper Skrzypek uncovered code and renders suggesting the accessory aims to transform the secondary display into a music control interface.
The "Pocket Guitar" accessory is expected to feature physical buttons alongside touch-sensitive grooves. These elements are intended to simulate guitar chords and strumming, offering users a unique method for music creation directly on their device.
Reports indicate that the accessory's functionality may rely on Changba, a karaoke application popular in China. Furthermore, it appears to be tailored for Xiaomi smartphones equipped with a rear-facing screen, potentially limiting its compatibility.
While details remain speculative, such an accessory would represent a new approach to integrated entertainment features for Xiaomi devices. The company has not yet officially confirmed the product or its potential release.
