Chinese tech news outlet IT Home reports that Xiaomi has released its new Smart Camera 3, which went on sale on October 9. The camera boasts a 5-megapixel sensor, delivering 3K ultra-clear image quality. It features an F1.6 aperture lens designed to capture more light and reduce image noise, providing sharp and clear visuals. The camera is also equipped with infrared night vision capabilities using multiple 940nm infrared fill lights for clear shooting in complete darkness.

The Xiaomi Smart Camera 3 includes a dual-motor gimbal for a 360-degree horizontal and 109-degree vertical field of view. It supports six types of AI-sensitive detection, offering tailored capabilities for scenarios such as home, child, and pet monitoring. The device can send timely notifications when it identifies specific events. Additionally, it features two-way real-time voice communication, allowing users to interact remotely.

The camera incorporates AOR all-day ultra-saving recording technology, which efficiently retains footage while reducing unnecessary recordings to save microSD card storage space. A new time-lapse photography function allows for the condensation of long-term visual changes into short 15-60 second videos. The integration of a new generation dual-band Wi-Fi 6 chip significantly improves physical transmission rates and reduces latency.

Furthermore, the new camera supports Xiaomi's Pengpai Smart Connect technology, enabling intelligent linkage with other Mi Home products. Users can share and manage the device with family members, and view the camera feed on various smart devices including smartphones, tablets, and Xiaomi TVs.
