Xiaomi Smart Speakers Get Super Xiao Ai Upgrade
Xiaomi is upgrading nine of its smart speaker models with the Super Xiao Ai virtual assistant. The update enhances device capabilities for complex commands and WeChat integration.

Chinese IT outlet IT Home reported on July 10 that Xiaomi has rolled out a significant upgrade for its smart speakers, integrating the Super Xiao Ai virtual assistant into nine models. This update enhances the devices' abilities to handle complex voice commands and interact with platforms like WeChat.
The models receiving the Super Xiao Ai integration include the Xiaomi Smart Speaker Pro, Xiaomi Sound Pro, Xiaomi Sound 2 Max, Xiaomi Sound 2 Pro, and several variants of the Xiaomi Smart Home Screen. The updated assistant offers advanced AI-driven question answering, multi-turn conversational capabilities, and can control smart home devices and automotive functions through voice.
A key feature of this upgrade is the Super Xiao Ai's new integration with WeChat. Users can now issue voice commands to initiate WeChat calls or send messages to contacts. This functionality requires both the Super Xiao Ai assistant and the WeChat application to be updated to their latest versions. A dedicated privacy setting for WeChat voice control will also be implemented.
The overall aim of the upgrade is to provide a more seamless and intelligent user experience within the smart home ecosystem. By enabling more natural conversations and the execution of multi-part commands, Xiaomi aims to strengthen its position in the competitive smart device market.
