Xiaomi Unveils澎程 Vehicle Lineup with Kunlun Technology Architecture
Xiaomi has launched its new澎程 vehicle series, featuring the N90 Max and N70 Max models, alongside the new Kunlun technology architecture. The focus was on spaciousness and powertrain technology.

Chinese technology firm Xiaomi launched its new澎程 vehicle series on August 7, 2024, alongside the underlying Kunlun technology architecture. The series includes the seven-seater N90 Max and the five-seater N70 Max, both implemented with "super range extender" technology.
At the unveiling, Xiaomi introduced the new Kunlun technology architecture, designed to deliver large, variable interior spaces. This includes the Kunlun platform, characterized by a 2.9-meter completely flat floor, compact rear wheel housing design, and extended seat rails. These features allow for flexible seating arrangements and maximize cargo capacity.
The "super range extender" system utilizes a large battery capacity (52 kWh or 76 kWh) and a newly developed 1.5-liter Kunlun range extender. Xiaomi claims the N90 Max achieves a WLTC fuel consumption of 6.26 L/100km and a CLTC total range of 1705 km. The vehicles employ Xiaomi's proprietary electric motors and the 龍甲 battery system, which is stated to exceed national safety standards.
The Kunlun architecture also incorporates the Kunlun All-domain Safety system, featuring a reinforced body structure and Xiaomi's rigorous crash test standards. The company asserts it conducts crash tests at higher speeds and under more stringent conditions than officially mandated.
Pre-sale prices for the N90 Max and N70 Max have been announced. Xiaomi positions the series as a response to consumer demand for a combination of SUV aesthetics, drivability, and spaciousness. The company developed the series and architecture over three and a half years, using components from domestic and international suppliers.
