Xinxiang Newld Deploys Specialized Rail Transfer Cart for Rolling Stock Dismantling
A new 20-ton battery-powered transfer vehicle has entered service to streamline material movement within railway car recycling facilities in Henan, China.

A 20-ton battery-operated transfer cart, designed for both longitudinal and lateral movement, has been deployed in a facility specializing in the dismantling and recycling of railway carriages. The equipment is engineered to navigate production workshop environments where heavy components require precise positioning.
The unit utilizes rail-based transport to move structural parts of decommissioned railway cars. By incorporating a lifting mechanism, the cart allows operators to shift loads between tracks, addressing specific spatial constraints common in recycling centers. This capability reduces the reliance on overhead cranes for shorter transport distances.
Industrial handling solutions of this type aim to improve cycle times in heavy dismantling operations. As the rail recycling sector faces pressure to increase output and safety, the adoption of automated or semi-automated transport systems has become increasingly common in workshops across China’s manufacturing hubs.
