Xpeng has announced the activation of an automated production line dedicated to humanoid robots. The company stated that its first general-purpose humanoid robot successfully completed its assembly process and moved off the production line on its own.
The newly activated line is engineered for mass production, boasting an automation rate exceeding 80% in its core manufacturing functions. Xpeng aims to commence volume production of these robots by the end of 2026.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027. These initial shipments will target both the Chinese domestic market and international markets.
