Paris – XPeng Inc. Chairman & CEO He Xiaopeng has called for deeper collaboration across the global automotive industry, becoming the first Chinese automotive CEO to keynote the Paris Automotive Summit. He highlighted the transformative impact of AI, electrification, and globalization on the sector.
During his address, He introduced "XPENG AI Engineering," a strategy designed to integrate the company's physical AI technologies with broader ecosystem partnerships in Europe and globally. XPeng is opening its full technology stack and engineering capabilities to international partners, covering everything from vehicle platforms to robotics.
The company plans to bring its advanced intelligent driving capabilities to global markets in 2027. Additionally, XPeng targets mass production of its humanoid robot, IRON, by the end of 2026, with initial deliveries expected in the first half of 2027 and a European rollout in the latter half of the year.
He emphasized that no single manufacturer holds all advantages for the next generation of smart mobility. XPeng has invested heavily in R&D and seeks a collaborative model based on complementary strengths, flexibility, and independent innovation, enabling partners to co-develop products while building their own technological capabilities.
XPeng also reaffirmed its long-term "In Europe, For Europe, With Europe" commitment, which includes production in Europe, design for European users, and collaboration with the region's industrial ecosystem. The company has brought four models into production in Europe within a year and is developing its European R&D center.
