Xpeng Delivered 39,107 Vehicles in August, a 4% Increase

Xpeng Inc. reported deliveries of 39,107 new vehicles in August, a 4% increase compared to the same period last year. This delivery figure was released alongside the company's announcement of the pre-sale commencement for its Xpeng G9L model in mainland China on August 11.

The company also advanced its autonomous driving initiatives. In August, Xpeng obtained official qualification for remote testing of its autonomous vehicles, specifically robotaxis, in Guangzhou. This authorization allows for road testing without a safety driver in the driver's seat on designated city routes, moving the technology into a critical phase of real-world validation.

For the month of August, the electric vehicles delivered by Xpeng are estimated to have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 3.72 million tons when compared to internal combustion engine vehicles. This environmental benefit is equivalent to the carbon absorption of 61.6 million trees over a decade.

Cumulatively, from January to August of the current year, Xpeng has delivered a substantial volume of vehicles, underscoring sustained market interest in its electric vehicle offerings.
