Chinese automaker XPeng has confirmed that its largest GX SUV model will be introduced to the Australian market. International media reports indicate the vehicle's price will exceed AUD 100,000, approximately USD 61,000 at current exchange rates.

The GX is currently XPeng's largest SUV offering. In its domestic market of China, it features a six-seat configuration and is available in both fully electric and range-extended electric variants. The model is slated for global release.

Alex Tang, head of XPeng's international business, confirmed the GX's forthcoming global availability. He stated that the GX is the company's flagship model and has received a highly positive market response and strong sales in China. XPeng is working to increase production capacity to meet current demand.

However, the GX may require a name change for its Australian launch, as Lexus holds the GX trademark. The name G10 is also already registered by another manufacturer. Additionally, XPeng's other large SUV, the G9L, is also scheduled for release in Australia, with deliveries of a seven-seat version expected to commence next year.
