XPeng Launches MONA L03 Electric SUV in Europe
Chinese automaker XPeng has globally launched its MONA L03 smart SUV in Munich, Germany, with a simultaneous rollout in 65 countries. The model aims to compete in Europe's mainstream electric SUV market.

Chinese automaker XPeng unveiled its MONA L03 smart SUV at a global launch event in Munich, Germany. The model will be rolled out in 65 countries and regions, marking a strategic move for XPeng's international expansion.
This launch is notable as the MONA L03 is the first XPeng model introduced simultaneously across international markets, rather than debuting in China first. By unveiling the vehicle in Munich, a key hub of Europe's automotive industry, XPeng signals its intent to compete directly with established global automakers.
In China, the MONA L03 starts at RMB 123,800 (approximately $18,280). In Europe, pricing begins at €35,600 ($40,720) for the battery-electric version and €38,600 ($44,150) for the extended-range EREV variant, positioning the model within the region's mainstream electric SUV segment.
The MONA L03 incorporates XPeng's in-house Turing AI chip and a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) foundation model designed for adaptability to various road conditions. The company plans to roll out localized Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) driver-assistance features to global markets starting in 2027. The international version runs XPeng's XOS 6 operating system, supporting multiple languages and natural conversational commands.
XPeng is reinforcing its "In Europe, for Europe" strategy by establishing an R&D center in Munich and partnering with Magna for localized manufacturing. The company also plans to build over 4,000 ultra-fast charging stations across Europe by 2028, signaling a commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure.
