XPeng announced that its new MONA L03 electric vehicle received 46,859 pre-orders within one hour of its launch. The model starts at a price of 123,800 yuan.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng announced on July 16 that its new MONA L03 model garnered 46,859 pre-orders within the first hour of its official launch. Earlier in the day, the company had reported reaching over 20,000 orders in just seven minutes.
The MONA L03 enters the market with a starting price of 123,800 yuan (approximately $17,000 USD). It is available in both a fully electric version and a range-extended variant, with deliveries for the latter set to begin in late August. The vehicle's exterior design was overseen by former Ferrari designer JuanMa Lopez.
Higher trim levels of the MONA L03 are equipped with XPeng's proprietary Turing AI chip. The top-tier configuration features dual chips, offering up to 1500 TOPS of computing power for advanced driver-assistance systems and autonomous driving capabilities.
Xpeng is one of China's rapidly emerging EV makers. The strong initial order numbers for the MONA L03 suggest significant consumer interest in the vehicle's features and pricing within the competitive Chinese auto market.
