XPENG targets 2027 European launch for advanced driver-assistance system
Chinese automaker XPENG plans to introduce its Navigation Guided Pilot driver-assistance system in Europe in 2027. The company is working with local regulators on the rollout.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPENG has announced its intention to launch its advanced driver-assistance system, Navigation Guided Pilot, in the European market in 2027. The company is currently collaborating with local regulatory bodies to facilitate the system's deployment.
Liu Xianming, who leads the company’s general intelligence center, informed Bloomberg ahead of the Paris Motor Show that XPENG has been able to adapt the system between different European countries in approximately two weeks. This adaptation reportedly required only about one ten-thousandth of the data needed to train the underlying AI model.
XPENG aims to bring the system's full capabilities to Europe, including navigating complex urban roads and highways, recognizing traffic signs, avoiding cyclists, and adapting to local driving habits. The system also incorporates lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control features.
This announcement comes amid increasing competition in the automotive industry for the development of autonomous driving technologies. XPENG's European expansion plans highlight the company's growing international ambitions and its competitive positioning against European and American automakers.
