Xreal Launches Cheaper AR Glasses Model

Xreal has introduced the A01 Plus, a significantly more affordable version of its augmented reality (AR) glasses, retailing for $299. This new model aims to capture a wider market by removing some of the advanced features found in its higher-priced predecessor, the 1S, which costs $449.

The A01 Plus retains some of the most desirable qualities of the 1S, focusing on comfort and visual performance. The glasses are noted for their lightweight design, weighing 62 grams, making them noticeably lighter than the 1S model. Despite the lighter build, initial impressions suggest a potential trade-off in frame durability, with the temple arms requiring careful adjustment to ensure proper screen alignment.

Visually, the A01 Plus provides surprisingly bright and contrast-rich screens for its price point, offering a compelling visual experience for users. The included blue-tinted glasses shell does not impact the color of the displayed content.
