XRHealth Acquires Swing Therapeutics, Expands Digital Health Platform to Mobile
XRHealth has acquired Swing Therapeutics, expanding its AI-powered digital health platform beyond XR devices to include mobile apps and wearables.
XRHealth, a platform for therapeutic technologies, has acquired Swing Therapeutics, further extending its reach in the digital health sector. The acquisition will incorporate Swing Therapeutics' AI-powered platform, broadening XRHealth's offerings beyond augmented and virtual reality (XR) devices to include mobile applications, smartwatches, and other wearable technology.
The move aims to create a comprehensive and reimbursable care platform that combines artificial intelligence with licensed clinicians. This integrated approach is designed to deliver continuous treatment for chronic conditions, including chronic pain and fibromyalgia, across multiple digital touchpoints.
Swing Therapeutics' Stanza program, which has received FDA De Novo authorization, will be integrated into XRHealth's offerings. Stanza has demonstrated significant improvements in symptoms related to fibromyalgia and chronic pain in a Phase 3 trial published in The Lancet.
Eran Orr, CEO of XRHealth, stated that technology is becoming the medicine itself, addressing the healthcare system's supply and demand challenges. This acquisition positions XRHealth to offer scalable and more accessible care solutions.
The integration also includes Swing Care, Swing Therapeutics' virtual specialty care platform, which provides multidisciplinary support through a combination of digital therapeutics, medication management, and personalized coaching, enhancing XRHealth's capability to treat the 'whole patient'.
