Xryma Plc: Two Independent Directors Resign

Nicosia, Cyprus – Xryma Plc, a Cypriot banktech group, has announced the resignation of two independent non-executive directors, Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou. The resignations, effective September 30, 2026, stem from regulatory changes and growing professional demands.

Christakis Taoushanis, who served as Chairman for nearly a decade, stepped down due to Cyprus Central Bank (CBC) governance policies. These policies deem directors serving more than 10 years as non-independent. Taoushanis played a key role in the company's development, including its preparation for listing on Euronext Paris and direct connection to the European Central Bank's T2 settlement system.

Adonis Pegasiou resigned after more than four years on the board to focus on his full-time role as Academic Director at the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF). The increasing complexity of Xryma Plc's business also required greater board member involvement, which Pegasiou stated he could no longer fully provide.

Xryma Plc, operating under the ISX Financial® brand, is a regulated banktech group headquartered in Cyprus. The company offers cross-border open banking, international transactional services, and real-time payments across the EU and UK. It is one of the first direct non-bank participants in the Eurosystem's T2 settlement system.

Group CEO Nikogiannis Karantzis thanked both departing directors for their contributions and wished them success in their future endeavors.
