Xryma Plc: Two Independent Directors Resign
Xryma Plc announced the resignation of two independent non-executive directors, Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou. The resignations are effective September 30, 2026.

Nicosia, Cyprus – On September 30, 2026, Xryma Plc, a regulated banktech group, announced the resignations of two of its independent non-executive directors, Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou. The departures are attributed to Cyprus Central Bank governance policies and personal commitments.
Christakis Taoushanis, who served on the board for nearly 10 years and chaired the company since its initial authorization as an electronic money institution by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), resigned as he no longer meets the independence criteria after more than 10 years of service, according to CBC governance policies. These policies also stipulate that the number of independent non-executive directors must exceed that of executive directors.
Adonis Pegasiou, a director for over four years, stepped down due to the increasing time and attention required by his full-time role as Academic Director at the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF). He indicated that he did not have sufficient time to fulfill his responsibilities as a board member, considering the company's expanding business activities and complex projects.
Group Managing Director and CEO Nikogiannis Karantzis expressed gratitude for the contributions of both departing directors and wished them well. Xryma Plc, trading as ISX Financial®, is a Cyprus-headquartered banktech group providing cross-border open banking, international transactional banking, and real-time EU and UK payment services.
