Xunlei is offering its Super Member subscription at a significantly reduced price during the 11.11 shopping festival, bringing the monthly cost below 10 yuan. The deal includes 12TB of cloud storage.
Chinese tech company Xunlei is significantly discounting its Super Member subscription service as part of the 11.11 shopping festival. The annual plan, normally priced at 360 yuan (approximately $50), or a continuous annual subscription at 264 yuan ($37), which averages to 22 yuan ($3) per month, is now available for a 30-month period at 298 yuan ($42) after discount. This brings the effective monthly cost down to approximately 9.93 yuan ($1.40).
The Xunlei Super Member package offers enhanced features over the standard membership. Key benefits include accelerated download speeds, a substantial 12 terabytes (TB) of cloud storage space, and the ability to stream videos in 1080p with original quality directly from the cloud. It also allows for unzipping of archive files up to 32 gigabytes (GB) online. Previously separate features like offline downloads and high-speed channel acceleration are now consolidated under the broader member acceleration functionality.
In addition to the 30-month deal, a 15-month subscription is offered for 159 yuan (approximately $22), resulting in a monthly cost of about 10.6 yuan ($1.50). Both promotional offers are available through the JD.com e-commerce platform. These reduced prices are expected to be temporary, reverting to standard rates after the promotional period concludes.
Xunlei, a company primarily known for its file-sharing services and cloud technology, is leveraging the major online shopping event to attract new subscribers and provide value to existing users through aggressive pricing on its premium tier.
