YeePay discusses B2B airline payment automation at IATA event

During the IATA WFS & WPS 2026 conference held in Macau on October 28–29, payment provider YeePay detailed new approaches to B2B order payments within the aviation industry. Company co-founder Yu Chen highlighted the impact of transaction fees on airline profitability, citing global industry costs of approximately $22 billion annually.

YeePay’s current model focuses on account-based payments that process individual order transactions in real time. The system is designed to handle the entire lifecycle of an airline booking—including refunds and ancillary services—without the need for advance payments or deferred settlement. The platform currently supports over 100 currencies and operates across more than 200 countries.

The technology is specifically positioned for airlines adopting New Distribution Capability (NDC) models. By integrating automated foreign exchange conversion and real-time reconciliation, YeePay intends to assist carriers in navigating markets with complex foreign exchange regulations. The company continues to seek partnerships with both full-service and low-cost carriers to scale these payment capabilities globally.
