Yellow Card Acquires GoMoney to Expand Into Brazilian Market

Yellow Card, a provider of stablecoin payment infrastructure, finalized its acquisition of the Brazilian virtual asset firm GoMoney in October. This move marks the firm's formal entry into the Brazilian market, which is currently the largest crypto sector in Latin America.

GoMoney operates under the transitionary regulatory framework established by the Central Bank of Brazil, with a pending application for full licensing. The acquisition will allow Yellow Card to offer local payment services, including the popular Pix instant payment system, and integrate stablecoin settlements into its existing treasury and liquidity products.

Market data underscores the potential of the Brazilian sector. According to Chainalysis, crypto transaction volumes in Brazil reached $252.5 billion between July 2025 and June 2026, with stablecoin activity seeing a 495% surge as firms seek more efficient cross-border liquidity management.

Yellow Card CEO Chris Maurice noted that the integration of local expertise is essential to scaling financial infrastructure globally. GoMoney will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary under its current management team.
